Manufacturing Processes

Manufacturing processes describe all processes for the production of geometrically determined solid bodies (workpieces). This defines bodies with certain dimensions and shapes, including surface roughness.
One of the most important manufacturing processes is the
- Casting
- Forging
- Milling
- Boring
- Welding
- Soldering
Furthermore, the modification of material properties, such as hardening or soft annealing, is counted among the manufacturing processes. The production of bodies without a specific shape, on the other hand, is assigned to process engineering.
